My language stay finishes soon, and I have very mixed feelings. Somehow I want to stay here because the school is great. The teachers and students are all sympathetic and the lessons are different. On the other hand, I am really looking forward to seeing my family again, and always talking English got tiring by now. The school is great. I enjoyed the morning classes. The afternoon classes were not as good as I hoped, yet I learned some things there. Either that's just because of the teacher or...

My last week is over and I enjoyed very much. I could do all the things I still wanted to do. Not only did I go to the National Museum of Scottland, but also to the Holyroodhouse Palace and the cinema. One of my teachers always told us how great the cinema here is and I was utterly surprised. There are thirteen screens and the halls are huge. What I didn't like is that they show three quarters of an hour of advertisement first. I finished the book I read and started a new one. The one I am now...

On my last day, I attended the goodbye-ceremony. I got my certificate and I have a 100% attendance. After all the pictures were taken and we all said our farewells to each other, I went to a food festival, which currently takes place in Edinburgh. I went there together with Sina and her schoolmates. After having lunch, we decided to go to the cinema. We watched the new movie 'The Lion King'. I love this movie and the remake came out extremely well. After the film, I nearly missed the bus. Yet,...

On Thursday I did a bookshop tour. First, I bought some books from Waterstones, a bookshop where I already was a few times before. Yet, I didn't find all of the volumes I wanted to buy. I made some research and went to another bookshop that I found online. When I got there, I realised that it was an antique bookshop. There were a lot of old books, but not the one I searched. That's why I did some more research and found another store. The new store was more modern, yet they didn't have the...

On Wednesday the weather was rainy. After school, I went to meet up with Sina to go to the Holyroodhouse Palace. That is the official residence of the Royal Family in Scotland. I wanted to visit the palace at the start of my stay, but Queen Elizabeth stayed in Scotland for her traditional June Tea Party. That's why she missed the baptism of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Holyroodhouse is constructed beautifully. There is the main palace, a ruin of a chapel and the gardens. All of these...

On Tuesday I decided to go to the National Museum of Scottland. To be honest, I had some stereotypes and just went there because I stayed in Edinburgh for four weeks. But now I am pretty fond of the museum. The museum is not just about Scottland, but about all of the world. Many cultures, religions, technologies and animals are on exhibition in the museum. One of the most famous attractions was Dolly the cloned sheep. My favourite parts were the department for animals and technology. Even...

On Monday the weather was great. That's why I decided to go to Portobello Beach. I didn't want to go alone, so I met with Sina and Sophia. At the beach, we went to a café where I had delicious ice cream while the others had cake. Afterwards, we went onto the sand and close to the water. As soon as the water touched my feet, I decided not to go bathing. The water was freezing. All in all the day was relaxing and I enjoyed it.
