Day 24

On Wednesday the weather was rainy. After school, I went to meet up with Sina to go to the Holyroodhouse Palace. That is the official residence of the Royal Family in Scotland. I wanted to visit the palace at the start of my stay, but Queen Elizabeth stayed in Scotland for her traditional June Tea Party. That's why she missed the baptism of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Holyroodhouse is constructed beautifully. There is the main palace, a ruin of a chapel and the gardens. All of these are open to visitors as long as the Royal Family is not in Edinburgh. The history of the Palace is rather intriguing. You get an audio guide at the entrance, which has a lot of very interesting recordings. The architecture is incredible. For me, the Holyrood Palace is a must-visit in Edinburgh.
